I graduated from the University of West Georgia in the early 1990s with a BA in French Studies and Psychology and began my career working in Marketing and Graphic Design for a French company here in the States. I continued my career track in Marketing and Design and eventually found myself working in Investor Relations for a large national bank which in turn led to a career in Insurance/Financial Services.
I became interested in jewelry craftsmanship while living on the coast of Florida. The ocean had a significant effect on me by not only offering inspiration but also reminding me of the absence of the mountains I had left behind back home in Georgia. Upon the arrival of my first child, I made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom and found myself in great need of a creative outlet. Taking my cue from nature, I built upon my inspiration and thus began my obsession with jewelry design. I began Silver Earth Designs in 2008 as a way to share my creativity and love of nature with others.
Inspired by Earth’s canvas, I design my pieces to be a reflection of the beauty that surrounds us. I use traditional and modern metalworking techniques to craft unique Silver pieces. To add extra dimension, I use a combination of Keum Boo, Silver Earth Designs Lampwork Glass Beads and genuine gemstones from the earth and sea.
I am a self-taught artist who works tirelessly to perfect my media of artful expression. My hope is that those who appreciate my work enjoy wearing my designs as much as I love creating them.
